Terms of Service

These terms apply when you access or use the Trip Pinned website and web application. By using Trip Pinned, you agree to these terms.

1. The service

Trip Pinned is a personal travel planning and diary service. It helps users organise trips, places, itineraries, notes, bookings, checklists, expenses, photos, documents and read-only trip shares. Features may change as the service develops.

2. Your account

You must provide accurate account information and use an email account you are authorised to access. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your email account, device and one-time login codes secure. Tell us promptly at trippinned@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

If you are not old enough to agree to these terms where you live, you may use Trip Pinned only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.

3. Your content

You retain ownership of content you add to Trip Pinned. You give Trip Pinned a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, store, copy, process and display that content only as needed to operate, secure and improve the service and to carry out actions you request, such as creating a share link. This licence ends when the content is deleted, subject to reasonable backup, security and legal retention.

You confirm that you have the right to upload and use your content and that it does not violate another person’s rights or applicable law.

4. Acceptable use

You must not:

• Use Trip Pinned for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive or harmful activity.
• Upload malware or content that infringes privacy, intellectual property or other rights.
• Attempt to bypass security, access another user’s account or data, or interfere with the service.
• Use automated activity that unreasonably burdens the service.
• Misrepresent your identity or use a share link to deceive or harm another person.

We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect users, Trip Pinned or third parties, investigate misuse, or comply with law.

5. Share links

You control whether to create and send a read-only share link. Anyone who receives or obtains that link may be able to view its snapshot and forward it to others. Check the share preview, recipients and included information carefully. Revoke links that should no longer be available.

Trip Pinned is designed to exclude private costs, personal notes, private photos, documents, checklists and booking references from shared snapshots, but you remain responsible for reviewing the content before sharing.

6. Travel information

Trip Pinned is an organisation tool, not a travel agent, emergency service or source of professional travel, legal, medical, immigration, visa, safety or financial advice. Dates, routes, maps, prices, availability, exchange rates and other travel details may be incomplete, delayed or incorrect. Confirm important information with the relevant airline, accommodation provider, government, insurer or other authoritative source.

7. Third-party services and links

Trip Pinned relies on or may link to third-party services, including authentication, email, hosting and backend providers. Their services and content are governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party websites or services that we do not control.

8. Availability and changes

We aim to keep Trip Pinned available, but access may be interrupted for maintenance, security, provider outages or other reasons. We may add, remove or change features. Where reasonably possible, we will avoid changes that unnecessarily compromise stored user content and will provide notice of material changes.

You should keep separate copies of travel information that would cause serious loss or disruption if unavailable.

9. Ending use and deletion

You may stop using Trip Pinned at any time. You may delete individual content where the app provides that option. To request deletion of your cloud account and associated data, email trippinned@gmail.com from your account email. A browser copy may remain on a device until that browser’s site data is cleared.

10. Disclaimers and liability

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, including rights that may apply under the Australian Consumer Law.

To the extent permitted by law, Trip Pinned is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that the service will always be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for every purpose. To the extent permitted by law, Trip Pinned is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the service, reliance on travel information, third-party services, or a share link distributed by you.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service or legal requirements change. The revised terms will be published here with a new effective date. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice where reasonably possible. Continuing to use Trip Pinned after updated terms take effect means you accept them.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws applicable where Trip Pinned operates in Australia, without limiting any mandatory rights you have under the laws of your location.
